Skymatics BVLOS Enhanced Drone Permissions

28/06/23 - By Daniel Jordan

Skymatics can now operate Beyond Visual Line Of Sight (BVLOS)!

We’re pleased to confirm that we have renewed, and improved, our enhanced drone permissions. Allowing us to operate our DJI M300 up to 2000m from the Remote Pilot.

These enhanced permissions allow us to fly further, much further, than most drone operators. Standard permissions are limited to 500m or remaining within Visual Line Of Sight (VLOS) at all times. Utilising Observers, we can operate Beyond Visual Line Of Sight from the Remote Pilot and extend our flight operations up to 4x further.

Therefore, our drone flights become more efficient. Allowing us to focus more on achieving quality data. Letting our advanced drone platform start to fly like it’s designed to, without the need for restricting additional take-off locations. We can complete large topographical surveys, capture extensive high resolution imagery for Orthomosiac creation and easily inspect critical linear infrastructure.

By demonstrating our exceptional skills and disciplined company procedures, we’re setting ourselves apart from our competitors. Our focus is to ensure our drone operations are always as safe and effective as possible, our BVLOS permissions help us continue to do just that.

To meet our clients requirements, we have also recently been accredited by SafeContractor as a recognised supplier and service provider for Drone Surveys.

If you’re interested in the work we’ve completed or the services we provide, then please get in contact with us at hello@skymatics.co.uk
